Renew a licence and expiry reminders
What happens when a licence expires, how to renew it, and who receives reminder emails.

In Licences and your account
Each licence includes updates and support for the period of your plan, usually 12 months.
When a licence expires
The software keeps working on your store. New versions and developer support pause until you renew.
Renew
- Open Licences and choose the licence.
- Select Renew for 1 year. The renewal is added to your cart.
- Check out as usual. The new expiry date is counted from the old one, so you never lose days by renewing early.
Reminder emails
We email you 30 days and 7 days before the expiry date, and on the day it expires. Under Profile and billing → Reminders you can turn each reminder on or off and add other people, such as your accounts team, to receive them.
