How the overlap works with US hours.
India is 9.5 hours ahead of US Eastern time in summer and 10.5 hours in winter, and 12.5 to 13.5 hours ahead of Pacific time. Our fixed 10:00 to 18:00 IST window falls in the American night, so for US teams we recommend a full-time developer, whose flexible timings can be shifted to give a daily overlap of an hour or two.
- East Coast: overlap is usually early morning Eastern time.
- West Coast: overlap is usually late afternoon or early evening Pacific time.
- Part-time or hourly: work runs while you sleep, with written updates waiting each morning, which suits well-defined tasks.
Agree the overlap window at the start, put it in the contract, and keep a short daily call inside it for questions and planning.

Who owns the code?
