The challenge

King’s Chandelier began as a family business in a small North Carolina town, when DF King, Sr. turned his passion for converting antique gasoliers into designing his own crystal chandeliers. From a small mail-order business it grew into a destination showroom and factory in Eden, still employee-owned and serving second- and third-generation customers.

The challenge was to bring that showroom experience online: present hundreds of handcrafted chandeliers and sconces so they shine on screen, and keep the personal, small-town service the company is known for, where a call is often answered by an owner.

What we built

A storefront that lets the crystal do the talking.

We built an online store that puts the products first: large imagery on a dark backdrop that lets every piece sparkle, clear navigation through chandeliers and sconces, and easy ways to reach the team for advice on size and budget. The company’s motto guided every screen: “We want you to look at your chandelier and LOVE it!”
